芸術家・Y氏が山奥のアトリエで、一着ずつ魂を吹き込むように製作する「LunPeng」。
染色からボタンの造形に至るまで、そのすべてを自身の手で行っています。膨大な手間と時間を経て生まれる作品は、衣服としての機能を持ちながらも、まるで一枚の絵画を眺めているような静かな芸術性を湛えています。
Y氏の根底にあるのは、かつて映画や舞台の衣装製作を手がけていたという稀有な経歴です。架空の物語を現実の形にする技術と感性は、いま、独自の美学へと昇華されています。彼が目指すのは「物語が感じられる服」。物が乏しかった時代、何度も繕いながら大切に着古された服のような、無垢な「佇まい」を追い求めています。その言葉通り、一点一点コツコツと仕立てられる衣服には、まるで古い映画のワンシーンから抜け出してきたかのような、深いストーリー性が宿っています。
山奥で自然と共生する彼のライフスタイルを尊重し、ご紹介できるのは、ごく僅かな数に限られます。定期的なリリースは叶いませんが、時の流れとともに届けられる彼の作品を、私たちも心待ちにしながら、少しずつご紹介していければと考えています。
